Artist Statement
Like the scientists I have worked with I begin with a thesis or goal and run with the surprises that come as I pursue that goal. Whether it is my need to understand the workings of the subjects in my paintings or the way I repurpose medical imaging in my mixed media work my art reflects my background as a Medical Illustrator.
